– Sealing concrete tanks, pools, cooling towers, concrete water and sewage pipes etc.
– as a coating on concrete structures subject to chemical corrosion.
Penetron is the latest phenomenon in concrete structures’ sealing.
The base compound of Penetron made by ICS-Penetron company of US is processed, packaged and presented by this company to the market under the license of the original company.
Penetron is a powder that becomes dark colored when mixed with water and may be uased to seal concrete tanks, pools, piers, cooling towers etc.
– Sealing concrete tanks, pools, cooling towers, concrete water and sewage pipes etc.
– as a coating on concrete structures subject to chemical corrosion.
– Considering the penetration function of Penetron, a concrete structure becomes naturally impermeable due to the filling of its porosity by the process of Penetron crystallization.
– Since Penetron is resistant in pH= 3- 11, Its use for protecting concrete surfaces subject to the chemical corrosion such as water and sewage pipes and structures adjacent to coastal areas etc. is very effective.
– Due to the recrystallization capability through possible new water penetration into the structure, this penetration also dries and because of dryness of the concrete’s inside, the risk of reinforcement bars corrosion is minimized.
Mix and use the Penetron powder with water according to the following mix proportion.
Mix proportion: 2 measures of water + 5 measures of Penetron
For better mixing, it is recommended to use a mechanical drill having propeller. Use of painting brush or spray gun with appropriate nuzzle (400 microns) is recommended for its application.
The amount of Penetron used is 1-2 kg/m2 depending on the surface’s roughness.
The surface must be totally free from any loose fragments, dust and oil and petroleum contaminants before application of Penetron.
At the last step, completely wash the surface by a water jet to assure that the inner parts of the structure are saturated by water.
