IF-1 Floor hardener

Fast destruction and disappearance of floors in factories and large stores is a common issue.

Its reason is the low compressive strength and abrasion resistance of concrete, causing issues such as floor dusting and infiltration of water and chemicals into it.

A significant solution for these problems is the use of a 2-3 cm thick floor hardener on fresh concrete or on old concrete floors.

Category:

Application on fresh concrete:

  • After placing the main concrete into the formworks and its sufficient setting such that it is walkable (2-5 hours, depending on ambient conditions), prepare the floor hardener according to the instruction and place it in the formworks with a thickness of 2 cm, then finish the surface.

Application on old concrete

  • First, totally indent the concrete’s surface with special tools. Then leave it in contact with water for 24 hours to become completely saturated, and at last, thoroughly clean it with a water jet such that any remaining loose fragments and dirt are removed. Then, depending on the required slope, place formworks and fill them with floor hardener.

Application by spraying on fresh concrete

  • Spray the product on fresh concrete immediately after concreting, and before surface finishing, then finish the surface.
  • Extremely high abrasive and compressive strengths, therefore no dust
  • High resistance to water and chemicals infiltration
  • Enhancing floor’s lifetime, durability and stability
  • Developing a smooth, uniform and crack-less surface
  • Complete adhesion of two layers to each other.
  • Ready-to-use floor hardener: Only add 2.5-3 lit of water to each 25 kg bag of the hardener and thoroughly mix it.
  • This material is not classified as hazardous and harmful to health and the environment; however, it must not be swallowed or be in contact with the eyes.
  • In case of accidental contact with skin or eyes, immediately rinseit with plenty of water. In case of being swallowed, immediately visit a physician.
  • This material is not inflammable.
  • Use a hydrophilic epoxy glue, to increase adhesion between fresh and old layers,.
