G3 Epoxy grout

G3 Epoxy grout is a three components compound comprised of an epoxy-based resin, an epoxy hardener and a filler.
G3 Epoxy grout possesses high efficiency, mechanical and chemical strengths and is desirable for a variety of repair and installation works requiring high adhesion and high compressive and bending strengths.

Category:

– Installation of various types column plates and base plates with high precision.

– Filling the bases of heavy and precise machinery and equipment.

– Repairing and filling concrete cracks and joints.

– Installation of bolts under high stress and tension.

– Flooring in areas subject to abrasion, dust-free.

Grouting with more thickness (depending on the grouting volume)

– Fast and easy use and high chemical resistance

– Considerable adhesion of plate and machinery to the foundation

– High compressive, bending and tensile strengths.

– Preparation of working surface:

The underlying surface must be fully clean and free from any grease, oil, paint, curing agents and loose fragments and be indented by an appropriate tool like a brush or by sand blasting, then be washed by water and totally dried before application of G3 Epoxy grout.

To install a bolt, the bolt hole must be prepared as above.

– Components mixing:

Add the appropriate amount of hardener to the epoxy resin, according to the mix proportion and mix them for 1-2 minutes by a low rpm mixer until complete mixing. Add some filler to the mix proportionate to the required plasticity and the work type and go on mixing till all the filler particles covered by resin.

– Mix weight proportion:

Resin: 100 units, hardener: 20 units, filler: 350-450 units.

  • Wear gloves and safety goggles during its application.
  • Avoid from its direct and continuous contact with skin.
  • In case of being swallowed, immediately visit a physician.
  • The application ambience must have an appropriate ventilation system and any spark and setting fire is forbidden.

Increasing the temperature of the environment and the materials causes the increase of the mix fluidity and reduction of its pot life, therefore, the mix should be the same amount that you may use.

The minimum and maximum temperatures of the material and the underlying surface are 5℃ and 35℃, respectively, and the coolest times of the day are the best time for grouting.

Important notes:

If there are boxes associated with anchor bolts which have to be filled by grout, grouting the boxes must be carried out in several steps, depending on the box height, then the surface grout must be applied.

  1. For boxes of 40 cm dimension, the maximum application thickness is considered as 10-15 cm.
  2. The best timing for the next layer application in the boxes of this dimension is presented in the following table.
Temperature (℃) Timing of layers application
+15 24 hours
+25 18 hours
+40 14 hours

3- The maximum application thickness (for flat surfaces) should be considered as 2-5 cm, regarding the grouting volume. In case of the thickness increase, grouting should certainly be done in several steps of identical thicknesses and adhering to the recommended time gaps between the applications.
