Increasing the temperature of the environment and the materials causes the increase of the mix fluidity and reduction of its pot life, therefore, the mix should be the same amount that you may use.
The minimum and maximum temperatures of the material and the underlying surface are 5℃ and 35℃, respectively, and the coolest times of the day are the best time for grouting.
Important notes:
If there are boxes associated with anchor bolts which have to be filled by grout, grouting the boxes must be carried out in several steps, depending on the box height, then the surface grout must be applied.
- For boxes of 40 cm dimension, the maximum application thickness is considered as 10-15 cm.
- The best timing for the next layer application in the boxes of this dimension is presented in the following table.
Temperature (℃) |
Timing of layers application |
+15 |
24 hours |
+25 |
18 hours |
+40 |
14 hours |
3- The maximum application thickness (for flat surfaces) should be considered as 2-5 cm, regarding the grouting volume. In case of the thickness increase, grouting should certainly be done in several steps of identical thicknesses and adhering to the recommended time gaps between the applications.
