WR-600 Powder water repellent admixture

A concrete with proper mix design, good quality aggregate, and appropriate w/c ratio generally is impermeable to a large extent. However, some small cracks and fissures, pores, and other defects developed during the making and placing of concrete result in a reduction of its resistance against infiltration of water and other solutions.

The use of appropriate waterproofing material gives concrete hydrophobic property and relative insulation without any adverse effect.

WR-600 Powder water-repellent admixture makes a hydrophobic film inside pores and voids as well as on the surface of the concrete after mixing with the cement and water. Thus, it disconnects the fine pores present inside the concrete and decrease its permeability. In addition to developing the hydrophobic property, the resulting film is stable and enhances the resistance of concrete against chemical solutions and sulfates aggression.

  • In addition to the enhancement of resistance against infiltration of water and chemical solutions, WP-600 Water repellent admixture causes the increase of plasticity and workability of concrete and enhances its quality and strength due to the reduction of water used.

 

Add WP-1 Water repellent admixture to water used to make concrete as 1 to 3 weight percent of cement along with cement and continue mixing it till achieving a homogenous and consistent mix

  • This material is not classified as hazardous and harmful to health and the environment; however, it must not be swallowed or be in contact with the eyes.
  • In case of accidental contact with skin or eyes, immediately rinseit with plenty of water.In case of being swallowed, immediately visit a physician.
