FR-1 Solvent resistant mastic (hot)

FR-1 Mastic is a one component compound based on bitumen, rubber and resin which is poured into horizontal and vertical expansion joints after heating up to the liquid limit.

FR-1 Mastic has outstanding resistance to petroleum fuels such as aviation fuel and makes high bond.

The working surface must be totally clean and free from any loose fragments, dust, grease and oil.

First, place the required amount of HS-1 Mastic in a hot oil bath of 160˚C to totally melt and flow. Then pour it into the joints by appropriate containers and methods.

To obtain a suitable adhesion, the proportion of joint’s depth to width should be greater than 1

The pot life of ready-to-use mastic is about 30 minutes.
