HS-1 Seam sealer mastic (hot)

HS-1 Mastic is a one component compound based on bitumen, rubber and resin which is poured into horizontal and vertical expansion joints after heating up to the liquid limit. It has extremely high adhesion and stretches up to several times of its original size, then returns to the previous state but does not separate from the surface.

It may be used to stick the parts needing flexibility in the sticking area.

Category:

– To fill expansion and construction joints

– Concrete roads, parking lots and walkways

– Concrete floors of industrial halls

– Roofs and balconies

– Concrete water storage tanks, pools and water conveyance canals

– Keeping its flexibility in low temperatures.

– Resistant to sea water and atmospheric conditions.

– Extremely excellent adhesion to most surfaces.

– Quick Stiffening

– Highly resistant to concrete’s thermal and mechanical stresses.

The working surface must be totally clean and free from any loose fragments, dust, grease and oil.

First, place the required amount of HS-1 Mastic in a hot oil bath of 160˚C to totally melt and flow. Then pour it into the joints by appropriate containers and methods.

To obtain a suitable adhesion, the proportion of joint’s depth to width should be greater than 1.

Avoid direct heating.
